# DOJ Law Enforcement Quick Reference

## Book a suspect

1. Arrest and transport the subject.
2. Open Imperial CAD and choose **Book Suspect**.
3. Import/search and verify the exact subject.
4. Select charges and the correct jurisdiction.
5. Add the Imperial report reference.
6. Submit and verify the booking completed.

## Remember

* You must be on duty for restricted law-enforcement workflows.
* The Imperial report remains the official report.
* Booking creates DOJ intake and custody records.
* A permission error usually means the job code, duty state, or permission is incorrect.
